CDM Advisor to Principal Designer

Specialist services for Architects and Designers

The CDM Advisor assists the Principal Designer in meeting their obligations, which are legal requirements as set out under the CDM 2015 Regulations.

Inspectas have developed a package of services for Architects and Designers who undertake the role of Principal Designer. To learn more about these services, our consultants can answer any queries you may have.

The CDM Advisor to the Principal Designer is a role we perform whereby we advise the Principal Designer in matters relating to health and safety – both during the pre-construction and construction phases.

If required – we can also undertake the role of Principal Designer.

Our CDM Advisor to Principal Designers service includes:

  • Assistance with the preparation of the Design Risk Register
  • Reviewing Risk Registers produced by other designers involved in the project
  • Attendance at design team meetings
  • Production of the Pre-Construction information pack
  • Coordinating other designers on the project, ensuring they comply with their duties under the CDM Regulations
  • Collation of the project Health and Safety File upon completion of a project, including gathering information from specialist trade contractors
